Great images here of Plymouth's Efford Fort, before it was all overgrown, large calibre artillery on the range at Staddon Heights in 1908 (now golf course).the mound on the left one of the still existing rifle firing positions facing the still there Butt, Jennycliff Cafe c pre 1960s?
Both now largely overgrown, but intact especially below ground, you can easily see the strategic location of these fortification works. Then a very detailed and busy image of MOUNT WISE, DEVONPORT, PLYMOUTH showing that once it was public swimming pool area , which it still is, but not looking like this!
Next is another busy and hectic scene on the pebble beach of MOUNT BATTEN to the east of PLYMOUTH with STAMFORD FORT looking down from above.
